  • Job Title: Pediatric Occupational Therapist

    Department: Occupational Therapy

    Reports To: Director of Occupational Therapy, Owner at COTC

    Summary:

    We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced pediatric occupational therapists to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of child development and be able to provide therapeutic interventions to children with a variety of disabilities. Our pediatric occupational therapists will provide home-based and in-school services in the Boston/ Metro-West area.

    Responsibilities:

    · Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address the child's specific needs
    · Provide therapeutic interventions to children with a variety of disabilities, including but not limited to:

    · Sensory processing disorders
    · Developmental delays
    · Autism spectrum disorder
    · Cerebral palsy
    · Down syndrome
    · Traumatic brain injury
    · Coordination disorders
    · Prematurity
    · Fine Motor Delay

    · Work with parents, teachers and caregivers to provide education and support
    · Collaborate with other members of the child's care team, including physicians, nurses, and teachers
    · Maintain accurate records and documentation

    Qualifications:

    · Master's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program
    · Current licensure as an occupational therapist in the state of Massachusetts
    · 5+ years of experience working with children (school experience is a plus)
    · Strong understanding of child development
    · Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    · Ability to travel to client homes and schools in the Boston/ Metro-West Area

    Department: Speech Therapy

    Reports To: Director of Clinical Services, Owner of COTC

    Summary:

    Pediatric Speech Therapists at COTC are responsible for providing speech therapy services to children with a variety of speech, language, and swallowing disorders. The therapist will work with children in a variety of settings, including home-based, or in-school. The therapist will also collaborate with other members of the child's team, such as parents, teachers, and other therapists, to ensure that the child receives the best possible care.

    Responsibilities:

    · Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to assess children's speech, language, and swallowing skills.
    · Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on the results of evaluations.
    · Provide direct therapy services to children in a variety of settings, including home-based or in-school settings.
    · Collaborate with other members of the child's team, such as parents, teachers, and other therapists, to ensure that the child receives the best possible care.
    · Maintain accurate and complete records of all patient assessments and treatment sessions.
    · Attend professional development activities to maintain current knowledge and skills.
    · Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    · Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
    · Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Massachusetts.
    · Experience of 5 years or more working with children with speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
    · Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    · Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    · Ability to work flexible hours.
